Brake valve is a very important foundation brake components, it plays a very critical role in the train. The quality performance of break valve will directly affect rail operation safety, so it must repair and replacement. When repair brake valve, it should break down the basic components, then replace the template and seals, at the same time blow dust and check tightness of intermediate. Since there is no special test rig for testing its tightness after intermediate repaired, so it is necessary to develop a test rig.This paper aims to design a test rig which can detect tightness of intermediate accurately and efficiently at the beginning, the paper determines the test method according to the working principle and structure characteristics of intermediates and proposes overall design of test rig. At the same time, the simulation used by AMEsim software proved that the design is feasible.Then this paper designs the pneumatic system and monitoring system according to function of test rig and chooses pneumatic components and electrical components according to parameters of test rig. These components compose the hardware system of test ng.In order to facilitate human-computer interaction and operate in testing software, this paper designs a software according to the experimental procedure and testing requirements, which can real-time monitor experimental parameters and manage experimental data.Finally, the test rig has been used long-time and play a better role in production. The results prove that its design is rational and meet the expected design requirements.
