The Strategy Research Of The Affordable Housing Planning In Beijing Which Is Based On The Mixed Residential Pattern

As we all known, affordable housing policy and its research in China is relatively backward in the world and its system is also not mature. After several years’ strong building, the low-income housing demand has been satisfied, however, the current affordable housing planning model gives birth to some negative problems. Those affordable housing are generally distributed in middle and outer suburbs and have a tendency to further suburbanization. Although this kind of phenomenon is caused by the layout of our city and the storage quantity land of the status quo conditions, objectively the affordable housing is now have some problems including the too remote location, poor traffic conditions, shortage of municipal facilities and so on, especially with the issues of residential segregation phenomenon. Those all above violated the original intention of the government to build those affordable housing——because of the defects of urban planning, instead of an improvement in the lives of low-income groups,they suffered more.Beijing, as the earliest city started construction on affordable housing, has its own characteristics and it will be of great theoretical and practical significance. Under this background, as the main object, Beijing is a good choice on helping us to study the residential area planning design method of affordable housing. Through a series of cases investigation, by study on the two primary characters of living space, material and social, this paper focuses on the design concept of spatial characteristics of affordable housing supply and existing problems and to provide strategies for prevention of this kind of problem from happening again. At the meanwhile, this paper also wants to provide a basis of former theory and empirical research of the design method of the residential area of affordable housing.The paper has been divided into six chapters:Chapter 1 mainly elaborates the topic related concept definition, research background, research significance, thesis research methods and research framework, etc.Chapter 2 focuses on the the theoretical research part of the thesis, mainly for domestic and foreign relevant theory and practice research briefly summarized, the main content related to affordable housing and living space research.Chapter3 mainly describes the current situation of the affordable housing in Beijing and its principal problems.Chapter 4 mainly describes the relationship between the current situation of affordable housing and the residential segregation problems.Chapter 5 puts forward the residential segregation phenomenon due to massive security residential district construction of centralized and produce and how to avoid the city planning strategy of malformations of social development, and discusses the feasibility of this kind of strategy.Chapter 6 is the conclusion of the whole thesis, summarizes the main conclusion and innovation of this thesis, and puts forward the possible follow-up discussion and prospect.
