As a research hotspot at home and abroad, structural vibration control technology can effectively improve the seismic performance, reducing the seismic response.Based on the existing theory, we design models and conduct experiments about structural vibration control technology. The main contents of this paper are as follows:The first chapter is the preface of this paper. The significance and the classification of the vibration control technology are mainly introduced, introducing the theory, experimental research and engineering application of the vibration control technology, and then introduce the smart materials and MR (Magneto-rheological) damper. Finally, it illustrates the research content of this paper.The second chapter introduces mainly the design and test about the passive damping system based on tuned liquid damper. This chapter introduces the damping mechanism and the analysis method about the tuned liquid damper (TLD). And then the tuned liquid damper structure damping system has been designed and produced in-kind model. We do shaking table test and collect acceleration response of the structure, in the absence of control and under the control of TLD respectively, by inputting multiple seismic conditions. The results proved that the vibration control effect is obvious.The chapter 3 introduces mainly the design and test about the damping system based on shape memory alloy (SMA). Firstly, this chapter introduces the mechanism and characteristics of SMA, design and product the corresponding physical model. And then we conduct the in-kind simulation experiment. We apply harmonic excitation on the structure and collect the acceleration response in the absence of SMA and under SMA control, respectively. The results proved that the vibration control effect is obvious.The chapter 4 introduces mainly the design and test about the damping system based on MR damper. The theory and engineering application of MR damper are firstly mentioned. And then the MR damper structure damping system has been designed and produced in-kind model. We do shaking table test and collect acceleration response of the structure, in the absence of control and under the control of MR damper respectively, by inputting multiple seismic conditions. And then we compare and analyze the response peaks. The results proved that the vibration control effect is obvious.
