| Structural health monitoring and vibration control techniques have become the focus of oversea and domestic researchers. The main point of this dissertation is divided into two parts. One is research on the application based on optical time domain reflect meter (OTDR), and another is model design and simulation test based on base-isolation and semi-active control techniques. The layout of the paper is as follows:The chapter1is the introduction of the importance of structural health monitoring and vibration control. The sensing principle of optical fiber and test principle of optical time domain reflect meter are presented. In addition, this chapter illustrates the main research content of dissertation.The chapter2is the simulation and test of common events point in engineering based on OTDR technology. In this chapter, the important role played by structural health monitoring techniques in engineering is introduced at first, and then introduced details concerning test principle of OTDR. According to the OTDR technology and common equipment in engineering, connect the optical fiber by fusion and flanges to simulating common events point in engineering. The position of these points could be located by observing the test curve on oscilloscope of OTDR. The results of the experiment demonstrate that this OTDR technology can detect and locate these points in fiber link timely and accurately.The chapter3is the model design and simulation test based on base-isolation and semi-active control techniques. The research of two common method about vibration control are presented, which are base-isolated system and semi-active control system based on magneto-rheological fluids (MRF). According to the characteristics of the different vibration control techniques, two kinds of model of vibration control system is designed. Physical prototypes were machined based on the design. The experiments verified the effectiveness of the designed control system. The results of the experiment demonstrate that these systems for structural vibration control effect is very significant. |
