In engineering applications, cement-based structures often bear flexural load including statically flexural load and impact flexural load. Tension side of bending structure easily cracks due to low tensile strength of cement-based material, which will lead to the failure of the structure. Fibers in fiber reinforced cement can hinder the propagation of macro and micro cracks so as to enhance the statically and impact flexural behavior of cement-based structure. Several studies in this article are as follow.(1) Study on alkali resistance of glass fiber mesh in cementAccording to SIC test method, alkali resistance of glass fiber mesh in cement was studied based on accelerated aging principle, in which relationship between content of ZrO2 and residual strength retention of glass fiber mesh was analyzed.(2) Study on statically flexural behavior of glass fiber chopped strand mat reinforced cement mortar specimenAccording to ASTM C1018, flexural behavior was tested on glass fiber chopped strand mat reinforced cement mortar specimen, in which relationships between content of ZrO2, accelerated aging test and flexural behavior indexes, residual bearing capacity and failure pattern were probed.(3) Study on statically flexural behavior of hybrid fiber (steel fiber and PP fiber) reinforced concrete beamAccording to ASTM C1609, statically flexural behavior of steel fiber, PP fiber and hybrid fiber reinforced concrete beam was contrasted.(4) Study on impact flexural behavior of hybrid fiber (steel fiber and PP fiber)Referred to falling ball impact method suggested by ACI 544, impact flexural behavior of steel fiber、PP fiber and hybrid fiber reinforced concrete beam was studied adopting ultrasonic detection technology, crack with testing technology and mathematical Statistics using test equipment own designed, which showed the positive effect of hybrid fibers.
