With the rapid development of China’s civil aviation industry, the increasing number of aircraft, increasing the scale of the ap building, the new ap construction speed is accelerating, but at this stage of flight procedures design results show still stuck in the traditional two-dimensional presentation. Before the construction of the ap, and local governments, non-professional exchanges, the two-dimensional presentation seriously hampered their understanding of navigational standards for ap construction, erection navigation facilities adds unnecessary obstacles. To solve the problems above, this paper study the characteristics and needs of the user and designed a three-dimensional scene simulation of instrument flight procedures system designed using three-dimensional visualization technology presents the results of flight procedure design, the elements of the original two-dimensional drawings of three-dimensional dynamic presentation make flight procedures design report more vivid and intuitive. The system uses computer virtual reality technology and geographic information technology GIS, to complete the real-time dynamic, multi-angle to show the terrain, building obstructions, the standard approach and departure flight procedures (SID/STAR) roadmap and restricted areas, such as the area indicate a specific ap function, to make up for the shortcomings of traditional sandbox expression, improve program design work for ATC department.Through the test run, the system has stable performance, convenient operation and complete functions, to meet the requirements of flight procedure design staff daily design and display, the basic realization of the system design and development goals.
