Structure hybrid test simulation(SHTS-PCS8000) combines machine test with numerical simulation. With the SHTS platform, the test of full scale structure with local nonlinear elements can be done effectively. In this paper interface software POI was developed for the data communication between the PCS8000 control system and the open source software,which are used widely for the controlling of electro-hydraulic servo test equipment and the numerical simulation in civil engineering. A set of hybrid simulation platfonn was set up with the electro-hydraulic servo loading system and the software OpenSees based on the developed interface.The validations and accuracy of the SHTS platform was verified by a hybrid simulation test of a frame with rubber damper under earthquake loading.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.A set of real-time data communication interface software between PCS8000 controller and finite element software OpenSees was developed. With this interface the experimental node displacement calculated by finite element software in any sub_step can be transmitted to the controller and to actuate the actuator with the displacement controlling state.In other wise, the the reaction force of test machine in this sub-step can be fed to the finite element software as iteration condition of calculation in next sub-step.2. A set of hybrid simulation system was set up with the electro hydraulic servo system produced by walterbai test machine company and the open source software OpenSees based on the developed interface. The stability of interface communication is validated by the hybrid simulation test of a single degree freedom structure under earthquake load. To verify the validation of the SHTS-PCS8000 system, a single level frame with rubber damper was simulated both with the numerical simulation with the OpenSees and the hybrid test simulation on SHTS-PCS8000 platform. The test results shown that the SHTS-PCS8000 platform is stable and reliable and the test precision is satisfying.3. The time-lag effect of the hydraulic actuator and the rubber damper in hybrid test simulation were studied on the error of hybrid simulation test with rubber damper.Through the relevant experiment,the effect of loading velocity and time-delay error are analyzed.
