With development and adjustment of the economic and social industrial structure, the landscape transformation of the urban riverfront park is on track. under the premise of maintaining the environment and respecting of local conditions, waterfront area Planning combined with local characteristics and culture shape representative urban waterfront landscape fully, which become a very important research topic.Through analyzing and extract the inspiration of the culture of GuTan, then apply it in the eastside landscape stripe of the Baima river to expand the green veins of the city development. Grafting the culture and eco-science by the design method of culture and modern landscape. Baima riverside landscape can meet hydrophilic properties of human beings, providing a friendly, comfortable and natural riverside green space for the surrounding residents and tourists, which not only enhance the value of Baima River as an important of urban river, while promote the overall shaping of the urban landscape image.This paper consists of four parts:The first part:the background, the purpose and significance of the research, and studying the development and trend of waterfront landscape through literature.The second part:the case analysis, making a conclusion of desigh technique, desigh process, desigh results through analyzing related successful cases, drawing the highlight of these cases in order to provide references and clear the direction for this design.The third part:planning programming, analyzing the overall situation of Tancheng County, especially the full understangding of planning area of the natural and cultural history and current situations. Integrating culture and landscape fully in respect of the field and drafting the theme of this design.The fourth part:summary and reflection, summarizing and reflecting in the light of problems that during the planning process and afer the completion.
