Research On The Landscape Of Kaifeng Urban Rivers

As a famous historical and cultural city in our country,the urban area of Kaifeng has a distinctive horological distribution,with the Yellow River going through its northern border and many rivers and lakes distributes in it's interior area.The prosperity of Kaifeng was due to the construction of the Sui and Tang grand canal,but the floods on the Yellow River brought its decline.It can be said that the flourish and decline of Kaifeng city was closely related to the rivers.As many cities in modern society,with the pressures of rapid economic development and urban population growth,Kaifeng also challenged by of the balance of urban development and utilization of river resource.In recent years,as a national excellent tourism city and garden city,Kaifeng made a series of measures to restore the characteristics of it's northern river city,and got some preliminary achievements However,there are a lot of problems in the landscape construction,such as poor water quality,lack of function,confusion of style,and the gap between different regions.Focus on these problems,the research object of this paper is Kaifeng river landscape from the ecological,functional and cultural perspectives,researching the past,current and further development strategies of landscape.And give suggestions for the urban river landscape design of Kaifeng and other cities.The first and second chapter of this article suggest the background and theoretical basis of this research.Based on the current situation of Kaifeng river landscape,this paper setting its research area and providing the research objectives.Many great case study from both home and abroad of urban area river landscape research in current statues provides theoretical and practical basis of this paper.The third chapter is the historical research of Kaifeng river landscape.This chapter discussed the natural surrounding and historical background of Kaifeng city,analyzed the characteristics of the Kaifeng river landscape in each historical period,and providing historical basis of this paper.The fourth chapter is the current situation research of Kaifeng urban rivers.This chapter systemically summarized the opening city river landscape situation from the aspects of Kaifeng river water quality,revetment,plants,transportation,artificial landscape,landscape culture construction.Analyzing the current river landscape construction experience and challenges,making practical principles,this chapter also presents the basis of the urban landscape construction for the following chapters.Chapter five and chapter six of this article are discussion about developmental directions of Kaifeng urban rivers.Chapter five defines the goals of landscape design of Kaifeng urban rivers from the micro aspects and proposes design principles according to the design goals,appropriate design strategy is put forward.The sixth chapter selects three typical river landscape designs in recent years as reach examples.Analysis the disadvantages of the three examples and providing further suggestions.The seventh chapter is the summary of the paper.In this chapter,the main research results and main viewpoints are summarized,and the future research directions are prospected.
