Compaction is the key link of the asphalt pavement construction, quality of the compaction is related to the quality of construction directly, good compaction of asphalt pavement can improve the road performance and service life greatly. Compaction quality is closely related to the asphalt mixture ratio and the temperatures of compaction, and the portfolio of compaction equipment. If want to ensure the quality of asphalt pavement rolling, it is necessary to research the impact of the above factors. Therefore, this paper will research the asphalt rolling process based on the different temperature changes of the asphalt which is under different environmental conditions.Different types of asphalt mixtures can exhibit different variation of the temperature field under the different environmental conditions, based on this, this paper mainly chose three asphalt such as AC-13, SMA-13, ATB-30 which is more commonly used in the asphalt pavement construction to research. First, this paper will research and analysis the principle of various types of roller compaction and the various parameters that affect the compaction quality, analysis the combination regimen of the compaction equipment which is used in three different highway construction; followed, detect the cooling law of three kind of asphalt mixture when the asphalt is under the different circumstances thickness such as different temperature, different wind speed, different paving thickness by the laboratory simulation, obtain the cooling rate and the temperature difference between inside and outside the paving layer, which is shown by three types of asphalt mixture under the different environmental conditions; analysis the heat transfer situation of the AC-13 when it is in the construction site, obtain the heat conditions which is received by the air, the bearing layer and the grass-roots from the paving layer at various time points.derived the equation between the temperature of the asphalt paving layer and the changes over time through the "conservation of energy", and comparative the equation with the indoor test results under the similar environmental conditions.Get the volume parameters of AC-13 and SMA-13 which is compacted at the different temperatures, and then, estimated the time for effective compaction. According to the efficiency of the mixing floor, the pavers, the rollers and other equipment, organize the compaction equipment; research and analysis the improvement of the temperature field and the compaction characteristics when using the asphalt transfer vehicle and the double paver, and then analyze its application prospects.
