Vehicle wheel force transducer is an effective way to acquisition the force directly between tire and pavement, the wheel force information is the important mean to vehicle active safety electric control system algorithms validation and optimization. In this paper, in order to improve wheel force transducer acquisition accuracy as the goal, The impact on its acquisition accuracy after installation, and vehicle stability thanks to the wheel force transducer additional mass, and structure optimization of elastic body are in-depth study. The conclusion provide theoretical basis for wheel force transducer structure design.Main contents of the paper are summarized as follows:(1) With finite element modeling and modal analysis for typical 8 beams and 4 beams wheel force transducer elastic body, not remanufactured rim, and assembly of elastic body and remanufactured rim. The analysis shows wheel force transducer additional mass caused to the tensile deformation and bending deformation of elastic body strain beams in base frequency vibration, and elastic body installation plane tilted are both increase wheel force transducer systematic measurement error.(2) Establishing vehicle 15 degrees of freedom dynamic model for simulation testing of steering wheel angle step input. Data show that the sideslip angle and yaw rate overshoot increased, system response delay increased, also.(3) Raise a structure optimization method targeted at base vibration frequency and comprehensive sensitivity. Take 8 beams elastic body as the research object, consideration of the connection way between elastic body and remanufactured rim, the number of connected hole, beam structure and geometry parameter for simulation and comparison test. Result show that elastic body and remanufactured rim with block connection way its base vibration frequency and comprehensive sensitivity are better. Under mechanical strength requirements are met, small section and longer length strain beam performance is good.(4) Based on structure optimization for wheel force transducer, produced elastic body, remanufactured rim and other mechanical components. With finite element analysis to determine the location of strain gauges and its bridge mode. Build a wheel force transducer measuring system using NI data acquisition. Tests show that the system can function properly and reliable work.
