Automotive wheel multi-dimensional force sensors are the most direct and effective way to obtain ground to tire force.In the development of many automotive electronic control systems and the research of higher precision vehicle control models,it is necessary to obtain the force exerted on the actual wheel.Currently,with the development of sensor technology,there have been a variety of mature professional multi-dimensional wheel force sensors,They all have high accuracy and advanced measurement methods,and are widely used in vehicle road testing,road spectrum data collection,and other aspects.Currently,many automobile factories also use wheel force sensors to test the basic performance of new research and development vehicles.However,the high cost cannot meet the development needs of different enterprises,and the high requirements for the use environment cannot meet the demand for real-time wheel force acquisition for automotive electronic control systems in daily life.According to the above status and actual project requirements,this article has designed a new type of wheel force measurement sensor.Compared to the traditional external type,this sensor adopts a built-in method,which installs the sensor on the wheel bearing and integrates it with the structure near the wheel,avoiding various problems caused by external installation.At the same time,various aspects of this sensor have been analyzed and studied.The main work of this article is as follows:(1)Research on the structure of multi-dimensional wheel force sensor.Taking multi-dimensional force sensors as the research object,the coordinate system for sensor use on vehicles is specified in combination with the SAE coordinate system.The sensor structure and its adapter structure designed in this paper are proposed.Through the overall assembly effect,it can be known that the sensor can meet the requirements for installation on the inside of the wheel.(2)Research on the measurement principle of multi-dimensional wheel force sensor.After analyzing the deformation modes of different deformed beams when the sensor is subjected to forces in various directions,a suitable strain gauge is selected based on the characteristics of different sensitive grid strain gauges that can detect strains in different directions.Based on the symmetry principle and Wheatstone bridge principle,combined with the deformation mode of the deformed beam analyzed previously,the points where the strain gauge is attached are grouped and bridged.The theoretical analysis and research results show that this bridge combination method can decouple the sensor signal output,and also ensure that different measurement bridges do not reuse strain gauges,reducing the possibility of causing signal crosstalk.(3)Finite Element Simulation and Calibration Analysis of Elastomer for Multidimensional Wheel Force Sensor.An evaluation index for elastomers in finite element simulation was proposed,and the structure of elastomeric strain grooves and deformed beams was further optimized using orthogonal experiments.Subsequently,the calibration assembly simulation method was used to optimize and improve the inter channel crosstalk of elastomers.After processing and manufacturing the threecomponent wheel force sensor,the actual sensor was calibrated and analyzed,and the calibration results showed that the output linearity of each channel of the sensor was good.(4)Construction of wheel force measurement system and verification of actual vehicle testing.In order to meet the needs of subsequent real vehicle testing,this article uses d SPACE Micro Auto Box II as a controller to achieve the establishment of a wheel force measurement system,ensuring the smooth transmission and reception of sensor signals;In order to determine the actual use effect of the sensor,a comparison test was conducted on a real vehicle using MSC professional wheel force measuring equipment and this sensor installed on both the inner and outer sides of the wheel.The test data results have illustrated the feasibility of the design scheme,and the comparison results of this data also indicate the direction for subsequent optimization.
