With the rapid development of science and technology,and the growing shortage of land resources,the exploitation of underground space has become a necessity. TBM as one of the common equipments in underground tunneling technology,is widely used in tunneling projects.Since the research on the TBM in our country is still in its infancy,the key technology is not mature,and key components are mainly dependent on imports,it is of great practical significance to study TBM in-depth.As an important part of the TBM,the research of the key parts of the boots system is the key point in the entire design of the TBM.The study of the paper derives from “Research on the boots and the material selection of spherical structure on the connecting position of boots oil cylinder and the processing technology”one of the subproject of “The key technology and application of large-diameter hard rock tunnel boring machine equipment”,which is the funding project of “863 program”.The aim of it is to provide a basis for the design of TBM through the research of the key parts of TBM boots system.The research object of the paper is the boots system key parts of TBM.The research contents are expanded from the working principle of TBM,and then,,analyze the boots system to find out the object to be studied;Analyze the key parts to make the foundation of finite element simulation analysis;Make the finite element simulation analysis to the key parts,and get the structural optimization program;Finally,design the process route of the key parts.The specific research contents are as follows:1.Through the analysis of the working principle of TBM,the importance of the b-oots system to the overall process of tunneling can be seen.Through the analysis o-f the boots system,the importance of ball head parts and double spherical part s to the boots system is evidently,providing the possibility to determine that t-he ball head parts and the double spherical parts are essential parts of boots system.2.Through the comparative analysis of the main working state of TBM,we can see the largest force state of TBM boots system occurs while TBM is tunneling;the force condition of the boots system can be seen by analyzing to get the force condition of ball head parts and double spherical parts.3.Through the finite element analysis of the key parts, we can get the deformation diagram and equivalent stress diagram of double spherical parts and ball head parts; By comparing the relationship between the properties of different materials and the results of finite element analysis,make the material selection to the key parts;Base on the condition that the value of equivalent stress of the ball head parts and the double spherical parts is large,we made the structure optimization to the ball head parts and the double-spherical parts.4.Through the process analysis of double spherical parts and ball head parts,the process routes of double spherical parts and ball head parts were respectively worked out,and the marking of shape and position tolerances of spherical surface was discussed.
