Study On Conservation Planning Of Urban Landscape Plant Diversity

With the acceleration of urbanization, people have higher and higher requirements on the living environment. However, the urban environment is suffering serious damages such as environmental pollution, resource shortage and serious ecological system damage, etc. To protect the living environment of human being and create an ecological and livable urban environment, people are paying more and more attention to the plant diversity in urban ecological system. Our national government revised the National Garden City Standards in 2005, which put forward requirements to work out protection planning of urban biological diversity(especially plants) independently. The protection planning of urban biological diversity is the further completion and supplement of general urban planning and urban green space system planning, which plays an important guiding role on the construction of ecological garden cities, helps to create a green, beautiful, fresh, healthy and comfortable livable environment and promotes the sustainable development of cities. This paper discusses the procedures and contents, approaches and measures of urban landscape plant diversity protection planning with the research object of urban landscape plant diversity protection planning and the entry point of concept interpretation of urban landscape plant and urban landscape plant diversity. It also makes a case study on the plant diversity protection planning in Heze. The research results will provide theoretical support to urban landscape plant diversity protection planning and provide experience and reference to other cities.This paper is divided into 2 parts. The first part is the first 3 chapters, which are researches on related theories. It applies literature review, field investigation and other research methods to make a comprehensive research and analysis on urban plant diversity protection planning, makes case analysis on urban plant diversity protection planning in the Philippines, America, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Britain, Canada and other countries, interprets the theories of Huang Chuanzhong, Li Zhenyou, Zheng Zhongming, Wang Xiaode, Hou Biqing and other domestic scholars and studies the urban plant diversity protection planning cases in Beijing, Shanghai, Quzhou, Yuyao and other cities. It specifies the purpose and meaning of this research by learning experience and summarizing development trends of current urban landscape plant diversity protection planning. Besides, it describes the concepts of urban landscape plant and urban landscape plant diversity, the characteristics and types of urban landscape plants, functions of urban landscape plant diversity, space distribution characteristics of urban landscape plant diversity protection, investigation contents and methods of urban landscape plant diversity protection. Finally, it makes a research on urban landscape plant diversity protection planning according to related concepts and theories.The second part of this paper is practice research. It makes a case study on the urban landscape plant diversity protection planning in Heze. It makes a sufficient and comprehensive investigation on the overall situations of Heze and the current situations of urban landscape plant diversity in Heze to summarize the existing problems of urban landscape plant diversity and works out goals and indicators, overall arrangement and specific plans in different levels of urban landscape plant diversity protection plan in Heze. It also puts forward measures, ecological management countermeasures and biological diversity monitoring network of plant diversity protection. Finally it pointed out that the government shall pay special attention to the protection planning of urban green space plant diversity in Heze. It researches 120 subjects and 900 kinds of higher plants in Heze. Problems of urban landscape plant diversity in Heze include poor urban green space quality, few indigenous plant application, environmental degradation, weak ecological environment, low awareness of citizens on urban plant diversity protection and wanton felling of trees. According to urban structural characteristics of Heze, it introduces the planning mode of “two approaches – four levels – four matrix areas – two types of patch groups – two types of galleries” to form a comprehensive protection planning system with the “point” of species and gene, with the “line” of matrix boundary and with the “face” of ecological system and landscape system.This paper summarizes the procedures and methods, protection measures and approaches of urban landscape plant diversity protection planning within administrative region of a city to supplement and complete the theoretical system of urban landscape plant diversity protection planning. The research project has a realistic significance on the improvement of urban landscape plant diversity, promotion of urban sustainable development and construction of a beautiful country.
