The smart grid is the direction of the electric power enterprise key construction and development, to establish high-efficient and real-time intercommunication system as the concrete practice of the smart grid, having been gotten great support from government and research of related industry. Communication technology is one of the most important supporting technologies during the development of smart grid, almost all the business functions in the power system is inseparable from the supports of communication technology, the real-time and effectiveness of communication technology is directly related to the overall value and safety performance of the whole grid system, compared with the main power grid, the low-voltage distribution network which less than or equal to lOkV,while the development of its communication network is very slow. Choosing a suitable way of communication technology and networking in the construction of a large scale of low-voltage distribution network to meet the demand of terminal business has becoming a very important link of Chinese smart grid development. In consequence, research of distribution network communication system has very important significance to realize the whole grid system running efficiently. At present, optical fiber communication, BWA broadband wireless access, GPRS/CDMA,carrier communication and other technology application in power grid which less than or equal to lOkV has been studied, the characteristics of power grid which less than or equal to lOkV determine complicated communication structure, multiple joint, scattered distribution, poor working environment and other features.which make this communication technologies are hard to get effective used. With development of wireless mobile communication technology rapidly, the new wireless communication technology have the advantages of non line-of-sight transmission ability, wide bandwidth, ability to resist natural disasters and long distance transmission, unlimited to structure of the ground line, etc. TD-LTE is the representative wireless broadband access technology nowadays. In this paper, propose a distribution network communication system based on TD-LTE wireless communication with 230MHz single frequency network scheme through analysis of early tests, then validate the feasibility and efficiency of the project through detailed theoretical analysis and strict experimental estimate. The main research contents:First of all state the research purpose and meaning of this topic briefly, then introduce the existing power grid communication technology, main business and communication needs of distribution network, compared with the technical characteristics of different communication access means, summarize the superiority of TD-LTE wireless communication technology application in distribution communication system. Analyze the technical difficulties are intended to solve and the network structure in the construction of electric power wireless private network based on LTE230 system.select three stations to test the feasibility of the early stage of the system in wireless private distribution network scheme of 1800MHz and 230MHz afterwards, choosing the single frequency network scheme of 230 MHz finally. After that, make estimation and simulation with frequency planning, link budget, etc. It is concluded that the network scheme can meet the demand of distribution network business communication and business upgrade service in the future from the results of estimation and simulation, eventually giving a preliminary planning guidelines on the building of the base station from the principle of locating and equipment installation, etc.
