With the development of natioanl economy, the electricity load is growing and more complex the demand for reactive power is increasing.So more and more reactive power compensation deivces are used in grid. As a dynamic reactive power compensation deivces, thyristor switched capacitor is widely used in low pressure distribution system. For this deive use thyristor as switch it can switched accurate and repidly. But in real-world usage the insatallation cast haigh. If the swith time is not accurate will cacuse severe surge current.Thyristors will be latch-up csused when switched repeatedly.Aiming at those problems in TSC.This paper studies the reactive compensation theory and its development processes especially the stucture of TSC. Ananysis the switching and breanking process by establishing mathematical modle of TSC, mainly analyzes the switch and breank time of three-phase common compensation TSC, also analyzes the voltage of capacitor and thyristor in this process.Analyzes the reson why thyristor will be latched up when switched repeatedly through theoretical analysis. Though simulation this text validates the voltage of capacitor and thyristor during switching and breanking process, validates the switch time and the thyristors latch-up phenomenon.Then develop a reactive power compensation deivce based ADuC7026 and MCU,this deivce use two CPU as it’s controller,use ADuC7026 to fuifill data acquisition and date-counting,use MCU to fulfill data displaying,keyboard control and other functions.In this paper,it detailed introduce the implement method of each module,including data acquisition circuit, synchronization signal circuit, zero-crossing circuit, communication circuit and other main circuit last introduce the software implement method use C programming language.At last, validate the rationality of each circuits,the severe surge current has be refrain capacitor breakover when the voltage of thyristor is zero. Validate the phenomenon of thyristor latch-up.
