With the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, the proportion of Children’s toys in market also grows gradually. The white-hot competition in toy market makes businesses attach more importance to attracting potential customer’s attention as only in this way they can occupy a place in toy market. The design for packaging enables the children to choose toys without the limitation of age and experience, which greatly satisfy children’s aesthetic ideas and aesthetic demands. Therefore, designers should make full use of various design elements, such as images, colors, texts, composition, and structure, to fulfill children’s aesthetic demands so that children can deeply experience the interesting packaging.This paper will analyze the packaging design of children’s toys from a new perspective and propose a new design strategy which represents the interestingness of toy packaging. In terms of children toy packaging, it not only has the functions of protection and transportation convenience, but also can promote sales of toys. Although the creative packaging designs emerge in an endless stream, many relevant problems are also exposed in the meanwhile. As, the interesting packaging fills the children’s psychological gap that children always desire to have the communication and interaction on emotion. Though the study on interesting expression of every element in design, this paper will analyze and summarize the points of interesting toy packaging. Designers should make the interestingness of toy packaging full expressed though the combinations of two-dimension design and three-dimension design.In addition, in the development of children’s toy packaging design, what should be lain emphasis on is the multicultural convergence expression. Besides the toy packaging should also be green design which can subtly influence children customers and improve their psychological cognition.Based on the theory of psychology and artistic design, combining children’s special behaviors and activities, consulting a great deal of literature and data and studying child psychology and child physiology, this paper mainly concentrates on the research of the current situation of children toy packaging, the study on children’s selection preference on toy products, and the application of interesting design in toy packaging and aims to make the interestingness of toy packaging more related to children’s demands and to help the children grow happily.
