| Control valve is an important processing and controlling unit, which is widely used in various fluid systems and equipment. With the increasing of market demands on the operating, controlling and maintaining, more quality of control valve is put forward than before, which not only contains the precise regulation, but also needs to reduce the energy consumption at operating. Due to the complicated inner structure and plenty of flow regions, the study on the inside flow within control valve is theoretically and practically important.The numerical simulation method of CFD package Fluent is performed on the new designed valve seat and valve stem of sanitary control valve in a company. The flow characteristic curves and parameters of inner flow region are obtained by means of the three-dimensional numerical simulation. The value of KV is also obtained by simulating the different travel of valve seat. In the meantime the flow behaviors are measured. The test data are collected and the results are analyzed.The comparison of the simulating results and testing results manifests the feasibility and reliability of using FLUENT package for the flow simulation. The inner flow field characteristics of the control valve are analyzed. The ideal flow characteristics curve in different travel and the flow-pressure drop curve are obtained. It can be easier to observe the flow phenomenon such as whirlpool, water hammer, and so on. The above mentioned investigations present are reference for the geometry optimization of the new designed control valve and can improve the adjustment of precision. |
