In the restricted inland waterway, due to the different depth of water, and the effect of current, wind and wharf, which leads to the state of motion are very different from the motion in the deep water and still water. In order to improve the safety of people’s lives and property, the prevention of ship’s collision, grounding, and other circumstances affecting the safety of navigation, so to simulate the restricted inland waterway’s passenger ship maneuvering is very necessary. Through the establishment of a restricted waterway passenger ship maneuvering mathematical model, based on a mathematical model to the relevant data of inland passenger ship "Century myth" as a reference to simulated the variety movements of the "century myth" in the restricted inland waterways.Firstly, we based on the method by Japan mathematical model group and respectively considered ship, propeller, rudder force of each part, then considered some interference effects between each other. On the basis of deep-water ship motion mathematical model, multiplied by the correction factor in shallow water, turn deep water model into the shallow water model, while the different size of the ship drift angles use different calculation methods to ensure the continuity of the movement of the ship. considering the influence of the inland river wind and current in shallow water mode, we add mathematical wind and current models which based on the shallow water. Finally, because of the impact wharf effect, based on the above model, we join the force and effect of the wharf effect. In this paper, after the establishment of a perfect mathematical motion model, we use a fourth-order Runge- Kutta method for ship handling numerically to solve the equations of motion. to establish the position at any time determine the equation of motion of the ship and the rest of the relevant parameters. After solving the model, we use the C ++ programming language, To simulate the ship’s turning performance and related some maneuvering. in restricted waters Especially for the ship in different channels, different depths, different speed, Vessel which is affected by the reaction between the quay wall are simulated respectively. Based on the relevant results of the simulation, we draw a series of conclusions. conclusions are the same as the predecessors of theoretical analysis, and it also demonstrate the validity of the simulation results. The related research results obtained in this paper for inland river crew to master the maneuverability of the ship when navigating in restricted water has great reference value, also help the students learn and understand the limitations of inland waterways navigation in complex situations. In this paper, for the development of complete ship simulator also has certain theoretical reference value.
