The Study Of The Lancang – Mekong River Shipping Capacity Configuration

Lancang-MEkong River is an international river crossing 6 countries, namely Chi na, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.A central axis leading China to t he Indo china peninsula and even the southeast Asia, it is also a important waterway co nnecting China and ASEAN, boasting a huge potential and low shipment cost. As estim ated by relevant studies, in 2015, the international freight volume of the Lancang-MEko ng River in China will reach 1.5 million tons with the passenger flow reaching 200,000, therefore the river will play an important role in regional economic cooperation. acceler ating the shipping delvelopment of the lancang- Mekong river, enhancing its status and giving full play to its role will be of great significance to the promotion of the cooperat ion and trade between the Southwest China,espacially the Yunnan Province, and the co untries on the Indo china peninsula.In this paper, a systematic analysis of the Lancang- Mekong River Basin overview and major research background, current situation shipping basin, as well as the main route of the Mekong navigation conditions were studied. Combined with the scientific research subject, through field research in the Lancang River Basin, access to relevant data, Yunnan Bureau of Statistics, Bureau of Commerce, Customs and other departments, a comprehensive comparative analysis using multiple linear regression forecasting method and elastic coefficient prediction,Passenger and cargo traffic volume of lancang- Mekong river in the future is forecasted,It is concluded that the lancang- Mekong river 2020, 2030, the annual volume of 1.1392 million tons, 2.9548 million tons respectively,2020, 2030 annual passenger traffic of 2.0647 million people and 5.3553 million people respectively. These predictions of data for the study of the lancang – Mekong river shipping capacity configuration also provides a scientific and reasonable basis.At the same time, the research of this article for the future of the river shipping capacity configuration study provides some theoretical and practical reference.
