Meridian theory is the significant theory of Chinese medicine. Meridian, enabling the human body to an organic whole,"inner belong to viscera, outside contact to the limb", is the bridge of the information exchange between the organs and limbs,which can conduct the stimulus conduction of the limbs to the internal organs and the physiological function of the internal organs can also be a reaction to the body surface. Up to now, modern medical researchers have not found the meridians anatomical institutions. In recent years, the rapid development of modern electronic technology and information technology provides more means for meridian research, so people have a more in-depth understanding of the essence of the meridian, but how to locate the meridian points of the human body quickly and accurately is still a difficulty.The human meridian visualization system can display the body’s meridian lines in real time,which has three main parts:skin meridians impedance detection module, the meridian points of the three-dimensional coordinates extraction module and the meridian line of visual display module. The skin meridian impedance detection module is responsible for the detection of skin impedance of the parts to be tested and extracts the meridian point and according to the low impedance characteristic of the meridian points. The three-dimensional coordinates of the meridian point extraction module is responsible for the acquisition of three-dimensional coordinate information of the meridian points. The visualization display module completes the display of the meridian line according to the results of the skin impedance detection module and the three-dimensional coordinates of the meridian point extraction module. The accuracy of the meridian impedance detection module and its synchronization with the three-dimensional coordinate extraction module is critical to the precision of the human meridian visualization system.This article mainly focuses on the design of the meridian line visual display module, skin meridian impedance detection module and its synchronization with the the three-dimensional coordinates extraction module of meridian points. This paper designs a multi-channel meridians impedance detector, which injects a constant sinusoidal current signal to the human body parts to be measured, while detecting the voltage to get the impedance of the parts to be measured and extracts the meridian points according to the low impedance characteristic of the meridian point. Multi-channel impedance detector consists of the following components:the power supply module, signal generator, voltage controlled current source, isolation amplifier circuit, the amplitude detection circuit and the AD data acquisition circuit, and several other. Meridian line visual display module, the impedance detection module and its synchronization with the three-dimensional coordinate extraction module of the meridian point are realized by the software on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 platform with the modular design concept. In order to improve the accuracy of the meridian impedance detector, the hardware circuit of the detector has taken the necessary anti-jamming measures, the corresponding meridian point extraction procedure also has used a cost function to further improve the accuracy of the meridian point extraction.In this paper, the design of the meridian impedance detector combines the traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern advanced information processing technology, using USB interface communication, data transmission speed, plug and play. In order to verify the effectiveness and real-time of the impedance detector hardware and software systems at room temperature, the Meridian impedance detection experiments on a human arm has been conducted. The test data obtained with the method in this paper shows that the difference between the meridian points and non-meridian-points is distinctive, the impedance detector designed in this paper can extract the meridian points accurately.
