With the developing of LED technology, LED as a luminescence element has been widely used. In recent years, LED lighting, the rapid development of high-power LED light source which was first used as an illumination of the fastest growing areas of lighting technology is also changing.High-power LED light source after a period of research and development, has been widely used in the city roads and industrial lighting, and to solve long-standing high-power heat lamps and standardization issues, lamps modularization. The so-called modular refers to a lamp with multiple independent heat manager, waterproof and light distribution of the LED module inside, similar to the traditional lighting sources. The source of these core components and power driver enclosure together to become a fixture. This helps to solve the heat radiation and light emission of the standardized production problems.It is the latest concepts of high-power LED light source design.In this paper, the research was done on the core component of high-power LED lighting source module base on modularization and CREE X-Lamp Series XPG power LED lamp beads for product design, thermal design on the new radiator and the integrated optical lens design has been used to increase the transmittance of the lens and lamps structural waterproofing performance. Tracepro has been used for ray tracing and lens simulation in order to test the actual performance of designed LED light source module and return to calculate the LED junction temperature. Use dialux software to do ray design and use light module combination lamps for lighting scene simulation to verify its adaption in practical application. At last, combining with the actual case shows the LED light module’s application prospects.
