Research Of Solar Semiconductor Lighting System

With the development of energy crisis, each country in the world is looking for a solution to it in two ways. That is, one way is to find a new energy or renewable energy, and the other way is to develop a technology, which could improve the efficiencies of energy using.And the combine of solar photovoltaic generating power and semiconductor lightingis a good example in this.Photovoltaic power, which is a new clean and environment-friendly energy, is applied to practice widely in recent years. And it will gradually be one of the basic energy for human being. As a new generation of electric lighting source, white LEDs are entering to general illuminating area with the increase of luminous efficiency.According the forecasting of authorities, in the year of 2010, LED will fully replace the traditional lighting in Japan, half of the traditional lighting in America will also be replaced by LED. And in China, the amount will be 15 percents or so.There is a revolution in the semiconductor industry. In this paper, we mainly focus on photovoltaic power and white LED illumination, and demonstrate the design of stand-alone solar semiconductor illuminating system. we design a controller for the illuminating system according to the characteristic of the whole system and make-up several LED lamps. After analyzing the characteristic of power LED, we design a driving circuit based on HV9910 for LED lamp to meet its reqmrement.Finally, we design a controller for the illuminating system according to the characteristic of the whole system and make-up several LED lamps. Then we construct a stand-alone solar semiconductor illuminating system and test some parameters of it.
