The main navigable rivers in Jilin province are the Songhua river, the second Songhua river, Nenjiang river, the yalu and the tumen river, river transportation is given priority to with tourist passenger and short-distance transportation. By the end of 2013, Jilin channel total mileage reached 1621 kilometers, waterway maintenance workload is very big, but Jilin province waterway administration now only channel 23 of the vessel. Insufficient part segment waterway vessel configuration as a direct result of waterway maintenance is not timely, shipping assurance rate is reduced, directly influence the development of Jilin province in the inland river water transportation, also influence the development of the economy of Jilin province. Is now in urgent need of Jilin province channel configuration optimization of the vessel, starting from the actual of the channel management to optimize configuration.This article first to Jilin channel and channel management mechanism has carried on the investigation, the investigation and study at the same time the Jilin province channel configuration status of the vessel. Using field visits and targeted approach to access research, research will get the data for statistical analysis. Next, the situation of Jilin province waterway, the evaluation of adaptability of waterway maintenance effect and waterway vessel adaptability is evaluated. After the completion of the adaptability evaluation, development of Jilin province waterway target and vessel configuration are studied.According to the characteristics of the channel of a typical segment of the yalu river in Jilin province, has carried on the selection and design of dredger.
