Wind power generation is a new-typed green energy and is becoming a new area of technology all nations in the world are striving to develop. With the development of industry the problem of power supply environment and power shortage had occurred and become increasingly serious. Many countries have formed related policies targeting these problems and conducted deep analysis and researches on wind energy so as to solve the aforementioned problems through its renewability and play an important role in the development in the future. Variable-speed doubly-fed wind power generation technology has been widely used now because of its characters like low cost and high efficiency, and it has become the mainstream of the current wind power generation technologies.There are many rotating mechanical parts within the wind turbine, and wind power generation is also affected by natural wind in addition to high frequency of malfunction of the wind turbines, thus resulting in tremendous economic loss. In order to prevent the various kinds of sudden problems during the running of the wind turbines, instant monitoring should be conducted on them, the status of the running of all links needs to be mastered, and periodical analysis should be conducted on various kinds of abnormal data so as to identify problems and formulate corresponding measures for conducting effective effective solutions on them. Various kinds of functional indexes of the wind turbine should be tested within prescribed timelimit and their degrees of attenuation should be attended at all times so as to ensure the effective operation of the wind turbine.Virtual instrument technology has been developed and designed by the combination of computer technologies and measurement device technologies, and this is based on modularized hardware with rather high performance. It could achieve the application in a series of measure and test aspects with various kinds of software of rather high flexibility, based on which this article has developed a concrete designing scheme by adopting the LabVIEW software from NI Company to establish and achieve a system for remote surveillance of the operating status of the wind turbine.This article mainly consists of the following three aspects:Firstly, it introduces various kinds of knowledge of virtual equipment including characters and concepts, makes detailed introduction of the characters of the environment for LabVIEW application and development, analyzes the process of the development of remote surveillance system, and discusses concrete schemes for construction; secondly, it studies the concrete working theory during the running of the wind turbine, establishes and achieves the overall structure of the system on surveillance of the operating status of the wind power gensets and performance tests based on virtual equipment technology, formulates reasonable scheme for the designing of the hardware in the system according to the concrete requirements of the system, and chooses corresponding models and establishes and achieve the signal conditioning circuit when choosing data acquisition card and sensors according to specific requirements in specification; and thirdly, it makes deep analysis and researches on the system of development and designing based on networked virtual instruments and designs and achieves the system for the surveillance of wind power gensets.This system has established and achieved a virtual device structure based on the PC-DAQ method, and it has the following two kinds of functions:firstly, collection of data. The system has adopted the thinking of modularized design to realize the development process according to different module classification, including data collection and option settings, chosen the method of hierarchical structure to finish the work of writing different modules, and realized the various kinds of functions of the data including storage and treatment, etc.; and secondly, network communication. The system has chosen the Web publishing technology provided by Lab VIEW and achieved the purpose of remote surveillance through authorizing the users via the servers and the visits to webs by the users.
