The rapid development of social economy led to human material world developed.continue to improved, the popularity of vehicles trend also raised. At the same time, the growing energy crisis and the increasingly serious environmental pollution has received strong concern, the electric vehicles arises at the historic moment. Because of its advantages, like no emission, high efficiency and low noise, it becomes the most potential transport in the new century. Our country has invested a lot of money in developing electric vehicles. Many colleges and universities also join to this project to improve the condition of energy shortage and air quality. At present, the motor drive technology of electric vehicles is a hotspot of research on the industry. PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor) has the advantages of small volume, high efficiency and power factor, so it has been applied in various occasions.In this paper, the control system of PMSM for electric vehicles has been studied. Starting with motor analysis and deciding control strategy combined with the characteristics of the electric vehicles, and making design scheme. The content mainly includes the following several parts:Firstly, the PMSM vector control method has been studied. According to the characteristics of electric vehicles, the corresponding control strategy has been chosen and the vector control system block diagram has been designed. Building simulation model in the platform of Matlab. The electric vehicles acceleration, climbing conditions are simulated and analyzed on the basis of the simulation curve, and the correctness of model is verified.Secondly, this paper has studied the technology of automatic code generation. The development tool with Matlab RTW software and basic steps of code generation has been introduced. The software code of specific model is generated automatically by the RTW. After the code generation, the software in the loop test(SIL) will be used. The measured model will be changed into S function. The result shows that the generated code and model are consistent on the function, and the validity of code has been verified.Thirdly, the new standard AUTOSAR and ISO26262 for electronic system of electric vehicles were studied. The main content of AUTOSAR has been studied and it has been applied to the program of motor control system. Illustrating that how to generate AUTOSAR software code in an example. For ISO26262 – the life cycle of automotive safety and automotive safety integrity level are studied, and the influence of PMSM controller failure due to the ISO26262 is analyzed. The fault rating form is mapped out, and relevant conclusions are summarized. The ISO26262 is applied in the system design with an example of over-current protection. It will provide reference in motor controller design in the future.
