Vehicle interior complex electronic devices and controllers are interconnected together by automotive communication bus that provides a sharing platform. As the number of vehicle electronic equipments grow day by day, bus-data is growing expo-nentially, which makes the load rate of communication bus increasing. Stable and re-liable communication of automotive electronics ensures the lightweight and safety of vehicle, and modular function is the basis of automotive functional diversity, therefore, it is necessary to rationalize the structure of communication software and optimize the management of communications network.The automotive communication techniques discussed in this paper is based on AUTOSAR V4.0, and takes the getway controller of multi-channel as an example. According to the AUTOSAR hierarchical structure, the communication system of basic software is divided into the CAN driver layer, interface layer, interaction layer and application layer.The CAN driver module is part of the lowest layer, performs the hardware access and offers a hardware independent API to its upper layer. The CAN interface module provides abstracted accesses to the CAN driver and CAN transceiver driver services for CAN communication to control and supervise the CAN network. The interaction module provides services for routing of I-PDUs with communication interface modules.Com provides signal oriented data interface to the RTE.According to AUTOSAR V4.0, the message library and routing accessess con-figuration are the foundation of routing management. Automotive indirect network management (Nm) detects the network by monitoring heartbeat frame of nodes, achieves sleep or wake-up function of the vehicle electronic equipment.This method provides a valuable reference to establish a standardized routing network management and realize the low power management modes for the design of automotive electronic control unit.
