Most trains in China use the TCN(Train Communication Network)network as the communication bus based on MVB(Mutifunction Vehicle Bus)and WTB(Wire Train Bus).The TCN bus has certain advantages on real-time aspects of train communication.With the rapid development of the train network,the control components of the train network are becoming more and more intelligent,and the needs of information are increasing sharply.The traditional TCN communication network speed of the bus is relatively low,while the speed of traditional fieldbus networkings are not enough to meet the increasing demands.Nowadays,Ethernet has developed rapidly,with advantages such as flexible networking topology,fast transmission speed and low cost.Ethernet has gradually become a new trend for the development of train networks.However,Ethernet is widely used in traditional industries,but the traditional industrial Ethernet is restricted by the access mechanism of its bus medium,which makes the determinism and real-time performance of network communication unreliable.This has become the largest obstacle in the communication network of trains.By analyzing the reasons of the lack of real-time performance of traditional industrial Ethernet,this paper proposes a gateway designing scheme to implement MVB communication to real-time Ethernet using a new real-time Ethernet protocol TRDP specifically for railway systems.However,the real-time Ethernet-based train communication network technology is still in the preliminary research and development stage,relevant standards are being developed,and the technology application is not yet mature.Therefore,the real-time Ethernet based train communication network cannot completely replace the traditional MVB network communication.This thesis aims to design and implement a TCN gateway that supports real-time Ethernet train communication and data exchange with traditional MVB network.The gateway can not only satisfy the rapid development of informationization,but also meet the current train communication request.First,according to the MVB train communication network protocol and the real-time Ethernet TRDP protocol,the overall hardware and software functional framework of the TCN gateway are designed based on the physical layer,data link layer,and application layer of the MVB protocol and real-time Ethernet protocol,which including the underlying driver,protocol stack,and upper application program,finally build up a test environment for overall functional testing and communication stress testing,and obtained experimental results to meet the requirements of IEC61375 standard,which verified the rationality and feasibility of the design.
