Therefore, it’s important to improve traffic management, and avoiding traffic jams has outstanding significance.At present, because of the traffic congestion problems, many office workers can’t get to work on time, traffic operation seriously affect the work efficiency of workers. Smooth traffic help city economic develop rapidly, which brings great convenience to people’s life and work. In addition, it is worth that the traffic environment is an important basis for people to evaluate the merits of the city, and the traffic environment will improve the city image greatly. The city traffic can enhance the attraction of one city, and improve the city competitiveness. Therefore, it’s not only has the significance of scientific development to solve city traffic problems, but also the inevitable requirement to improve city competitiveness.There’s no avoiding the fact that the traffic congestion problem must be solved during urban development, and developing public transport may be an important way to solve this problem. Since the rail transit has largest transportation capacity and fastest transportation speed, it has very important meaning for solving the traffic congestion problem. As one of the oldest cities in China, Ningbo has obvious region character with developed port and commerce system, which has attracted millions of new residents in the last few decades. In the process of urban development, the lack of urban planning and unreasonable city construction result in serious traffic congestion. Taking Ningbo as an example, this paper introduces the important role of the rail transit in relieve urban congestion, the complete solution for transportation not only ensures the comfort, but also features for Ningbo and its cultural characteristics. Through the construction of rail transit, we hope to restore order to the traffic order of Ningbo.
