With the shortage of resources and environmental issues become increasingly prominent, the concept of sustainable development has become the consensus of mankind.In this context, in early 1990 s, UNEP proposed products and services system(Product Service System, PSS) concept, the core idea is through the systematic integration of products and services, provide users with products and services or utility instead of the traditional products to meet customer needs, aimed at achieving sustainable development by reducing the consumption of material resources. In order to cope with increasingly fierce market competition, companies have begun to seek through increased service to assist or even replace physical products to enhance product value.The paper selected for the study of complex mechanical products, proposed integrated modular design of product and service based on product service system concept and write a simple computer program to display various service modules weights share in the products and services the system. Taking into account the complexity of mechanical and electrical products, systemic features, and product service system concept application status in the mechanical and electrical products, modular design theory proposed in this paper mainly consider the application of the concept of optimization in the original product design and new product design stage,its main contents are as follows:1, products and services integrated design:This paper analyzes the classification,the formation and characteristics of products and services,in accordance if there is a correlation between the tangible goods and intangible services in the product service system, the classification of products and services-related services and products unrelated services,proposed integrated design of products and services, on this basis, given the broad definition of the product, classification and characteristics. The main innovation: a modular system design framework is based on products and services generalized products(integrated service product).2, broad product module division’s research and planning methodsThe nature of products and services system is "By combining tangible products andintangible services to meet the specific needs of customers, while meeting corporate sustainability goals, as well as reducing the environmental impact. Chapter studies the integration of service-oriented design methods products its main contents and innovations are as follows:1) Analyzed the relationship between products and services, pointed out that not all service modules require concurrent design and product modules;2) In a clear correlation between the services and products after the proposed integrated service-oriented product design ideas with a modular approach, using design structure matrix(Design Structure Matrix, DSM) represents the correlation between product-related services and products module;3) Although the main significance product service systems are to meet customer needs while meeting the requirements of sustainable development, but for different products and services in terms of the system, with the impact of a service module for product design is different, this article also application of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and analysis of different levels of service in an integrated service modules right product design weight problems.3 the development of products and services aided design systemThrough questionnaires by the user for each service module in the product-oriented,application-oriented(leasing), utility-oriented(integration solutions) evaluation of these three products service system is an important degree. Through this application layer sequence, can help designers analyze and store research data obtained conducive to future work.Research work is the modular design of mechanical and electrical products based on product service systems were studied, and a coin-operated washing machine as an example verified. Research methods of the present paper is equally applicable to other mechanical and electrical products, which helps people to products and services used in the mechanical and electrical systems to better product design.
