At present, the industrial enterprises are constantly advancing the degree of automation, on the one hand, the development of new control system and control method, on the other hand to maintain the old controller. Thermal power industry also is so, with the constant improvement of the thermal power industry automation level, the maintenance of the controller to ensure that the level of control has got more and more enterprises attention.In this paper,aiming at the boiler water system assessment,The development and application of the theory research and related software, specific work is as follows:In theory, the current evaluation method is a simple review of controller, the drum water level control is used to evaluate the minimum variance method, the current controller of a certain power plant performance benchmark.Using the minimum variance method to assess the drum level cascade three impulse controller which is replaced feedforward-feedback system,and the disturbance of related research alse be done.Firstly, drum level controller for thermal power plants have been studied using improved genetic algorithm optimization, get new PID parameters, the results obtained in overshoot and control speed are better than the reference results, but there are still overshoot.Secondly,based on this situation, the drum level controller has been improved, improved controller has improved in terms of overshoot in the parameters unchanged. Finally Genetic algorithm to optimize the controller of improved, the result is better than the previous optimization results.Develop a LPAss control system performance evaluation software for thermal power plant water system to evaluate the performance of the controller to achieve the water system performance monitoring and assessment of thermal power units.The results LPAss test run showed that the software can better achieve the Datang Leiyang Power water control system performance monitoring and evaluation, effectively reducing the downtime caused by the controller decline in quality, reduce labor intensity control personnel.In the thermal power industry, the assessment methods and software papers mentioned in the water system controller, have not been seen in the published article, for real-time analysis of thermal power plant controller performance, there is no relevant reports. thermal power plant control operators and maintenance personnel can easily access to the software at any time, collect data,get the level of control the moment.
