Cryogenic valves usually refer to the valves whose operating temperature is-40 oC or less.With the development of modern science and technology, industrial production, new energy exploitation and aerospace industry, cryogenic valves have been used in many occasions, and it has an increasing scale. In recent years, China has accelerated the development of new products of cryogenic valves, but with the support of cryogenic valve performance testing system has developed slowly. Traditional testing device has low degree of automation, low test accuracy, high testing costs, and there is a serious impediment to technological development in the field of cryogenic valves.Since this kind of valve is usually used in temperature region below-100°C, so its material selection, structure design, manufacturing processes and performance testing, etc.have special requirements. Especially for the performance test, in addition to meet the performance requirements at room temperature,there are cryogenic conditions test. Cryogenic valve performance testing method and apparatus are important factors for seal as well as lifetime,and the efficiency and accuracy of the test whose important significance affect the cost and quality of cryogenic valves directly.According to the cryogenic valve performance characteristics of the test system, the paper studies the development of cryogenic valve performance test system both in domestic and abroad.With the use of modern control techniques based on the traditional test device, it introduces a detailed description on measurement and control system, mechanical devices,low-temperature circuit and leak detection device, following the major components of the system, design ideas, and also describes system design requirements. And based on instrument communication, PCI bus and IPC, it focuses on the overall system design and analysis.The paper provides a new type of cryogenic valve performance automatic test system and test method,then it elaborated mechanism design calculations and hardware selection of the newcryogenic valve performance test systems, including stem switching performance automatic operation mechanism design, cryogenic tank automatically switch mechanism design,cryogenic tank and cryogenic medium piping design. Meanwhile it has an analysis on the low temperature dielectric insulation performance and transport properties. The next part of the article focuses on monitoring,which elaborates sensors and data acquisition card design selection, signal conditioning circuit design and system anti-jamming design. Control software with Lab VIEW as the core part, the paper gives a detailed description on the design of initial interface, parameter setting interface and the main interface, and finished the front panel and block diagram design analysis for the main interface which including function modules such as data acquisition, data processing, data display, control output and so on. Finally, the paper makes a summary and outlook to the development of cryogenic valves performance automatic test system.The functions of the new system are cryogenic valve performance testing and quality inspection, and automatic, intelligent operations are achieved.
