At present, our country is in a stage of rapid urbanization and all kinds of large-scale construction project are in full swing. A large number of construction project safety accidents occur, which has become the focus of the government and the social. Research on evolution mechanism of construction project accidents is studying the inner regular of accident, which is helpful for construction enterprises and government to take measures. Therefore, exploring the construction project construction safety accident evolution mechanism has important theoretical significance and practical significance for the construction industry development. The construction project safety accident is regarded as the study object in this paper and discussed based on mathematical model, then the evolution mechanism of construction project accident is studied. The main research work is as follows:(1)The theoretical basis about research on the evolution mechanism of construction projects accidents is researched. The rule of things suddenly change is described by the catastrophe theory, and the order degree of system is reacted by the dissipative structure. The theoretical basis of this study is laid by this analysis.(2)Incentives identification and importance research of construction projects accidents. The factors of construction accidents are analyzed, which include man, machine and material, environment, and management. Man and management can be attributed to human unsafe behaviors. Machine, material, and environment can be attributed to object unsafe state. Questionnaires are design and issued. Design units, construction units, supervision units, government, social and others are the object of investigation. The questionnaire data is analyzed and the importance of each factor is determined, and according the importance to sort, which are the basis of selecting factors in empirical research.(3)The construction project safety accident system is divided into four evolution stages. Namely, the latent phase, outbreak, spread phase, and the end phase. Use different models to describe the process of evolution according to the characteristics of each stage. The cusp catastrophic model is used to analyze mechanism of crisis incubation; the dissipative structure is used to calculate the total entropy in the period of accident explosion phase and the end phase; the mathematical model is used to depicted mechanism of accident spread. The logic rule of inherent is revealed and the source of accident is found. On the basis of theoretical research about the evolution mechanism of construction project accident, “The lotus riverside in Shanghai Minhang” is taken as example, and the factors of accident are narrative. The models in the fourth chapter are used to analyze the development process of the crisis incubation period, the explosion period, the spread period, and the end period.(4)Strategies are put forward one by one in the four stages of the construction accident, which can provide the basis for government to implement policies, and reduce the incidence rate of the construction accidents and the harm of social public security.
