As an important means of specialized transport, refrigerated container plays an important role in cold-chain logistics system. It has good characteristics such as its flexibility and convenient for transporting. Refrigerated container is an advanced means for meeting the refrigerated transport development trend. So researching on refrigerated container is meaningful and useful. The temperature field distribution is an important factor for refrigerated transport. Thus, ensuring a uniform flow field distribution of container is the critical issue for improving the quality of transported fruits & vegetables and prolonging the shelf-life of products. The following points are researched in this paper:1) Research on flow field in the original refrigerated container.Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD) models of refrigerated container under different air velocity and different stack methods have been established to study the flow field and the temperature distribution in this paper. The correctness of the simulation model is verified with the experimental data. And the deviation of experimental data and simulated result was not beyond the scope of permission, which showed that the model was appropriate to the simulation of the temperature distribution in the refrigerated container.2) Simulation on flow field of the improved type refrigerated container.Based on the uniform air supply principle, various types of air supply duct have been designed to achieve uniform flow field and temperature distribution in this paper. Through different section of comparative analysis, the improved type refrigerated container with air duct has a more uniform flow field and temperature distribution compared with the refrigerated container without air duct.3) Experimental research on the refrigerated container.The temperature of measuring points on each cross-section has been measured. Based on the experimental date, the trend of temperature field has been analyzed. At the same time, the flow field distribution of the refrigerated container with lay-out goods is further analyzed. That provides a more favorable basis for the cargo transport of refrigerated containers.4) Effects of temperature fluctuations during transport on the Goods quality.The fruits are placed in the refrigerated container at different temperature fluctuations.Then the various parameters of the fruits have been measured. Such as: weight loss rate(%),fruit firmness(kg.cm-2), titratable acidity(%), soluble solids(%), chlorophyll, MDA,Vitamin C content, etc. It is found that fruit quality varies with refrigerated time and temperature fluctuations.
