At present, aviation Power System in China is mainly supplied by low voltage 28 V DC power. Yet in foreign countries, aviation aircrafts have been gradually provided by high voltage 270 V DC power taking the place of low voltage DC power in recent years. High voltage power system has the advantages of high transmission efficiency and light in weight so that it has gradually proved to the mainstream of aircraft power system. Secondary electrical power source in aviation power system is directly facing to the airborne electric equipments,and its performance has a significant impact on the entire power system. While few of researches on the conversion about secondary power are made in the field of power. In the paper, DC/DC converter in the secondary power is the research subjects to study. According to the features of high-performance and high-reliability about the secondary power, the paper designs a DC/DC converter for secondary power. The main contents are as follows:1. The paper reviews the development process of aviation power system, and analyzes the advantages of high voltage 270 V DC power system. Then the development trends in secondary power’s DC / DC converter is studied. At the same time, the paper studies the Monte Carlo method in depth and illustrates its applications in power electronic.2. The paper designs the circuit of DC/DC converter. Firstly, the paper makes comparisons between the isolated converter and non-isolated DC/DC converter, so that the main circuit topology is determined. Chosen the single-ended forward converter as the based circuit and then designs it. Secondly, the control circuit and a feedback circuit are given for the DC/DC converter. Finally, the designs of the current limiting protection and the over-voltage protection circuit improve the performance of the converter.3. Monte Carlo is applied to the DC/DC converter. Firstly, the analysis process of Monte Carlo is given. According to the process, the circuit of the converter is simulated on Saber. Secondly, analyses of the Monte Carlo about the circuit are completed. Finally, the analysis consequences are given by Monte Carlo method. Devices optimization improves the reliability of the converter.4. The experiment module of DC/DC converter is made on the basis of the circuit design and devices optimization analyzed by Monte Carlo. Then a 300 W DC/DC converter of 270 V DC input and 28 V DC output PWM converter is designed. At the same time, the experimental waveforms and efficiency graphs were demonstrated. Finally, experimental results showed this scheme that the DC/DC converter of secondary power applied on Monte Carlo is practicable. The performance of this power module met the design requirements.
