The Research Of Publicness In Northern Europe Modern Urban’s Public Sphere

Urban planning and design of public philosophy in Northern European country, is developed with the political culture of democracy.Throughout the process of planning and design work, the public participation is an important link in the Nordic city planning. Public participation in urban planning is to make citizens participate in urban planning decision-making, implementation, management and supervision of community. Through the communication, discussion, cooperation between the decision-making department, professionals, and the city public, the urban planning and design process becomes more democratic and more humanized. This kind of public participation in urban planning and design arose early in northern Europe, which has lasted nearly half a century. To a great extent, it promotes the development of the Nordic city construction and the improvement of people’s life quality.In recent years, with the development of our social economy and the improvement of science and technology, urban construction in different regions is also keeping up with the pace of rapid development.Great achievement has been made in urban construction. The living standards and cultural quality has also increased. However at the same time, people live in a space covered by concrete, fog, and the road traffic.People walk in a hurry in the street, with less communication between people. The natural environment and humane environment in the publicspace is gradually lost. From the human point of view, urban construction development mode, which is in lack of public participation, is not desirable. It is worth the attention of the social people from all walks of life.Nordic states are places with a high degree of democratization,influenced by the benefits of democracy. Urban public space design embodies the public sense in a better way. In the process of design, public participation and public service facilities of humanization makes Nordic cities be in the rank of the world’s most happiness city. This article mainly deals with the research on modern urban public space and makes in-depth analysis of the public space in the design of public performance. From the analysis of the planner Jan Gehl’s the theory of urban public space design,and research on public space in the process of reconstruction in Copenhagen city, it is concluded that the law of human behavior in public space, people’s needs and the relationship between public space and public life(psychological factors and physical environment), is the factor which need paying attention to and carrying out during the process of design. To make public Spaces serve the people better and be more convenient to people, it requires strengthening and implementation of public participation in a public space design. Government departments,professionals and the general public should have mutual communication to make joint planning scheme. Researches on urban public spacedevelopment pattern of the Nordic countries and summaries on its value can bring enlightenment and reference to fill in the weakness in city construction in China.
