Reticulated Shell structure is one of the most common form of spatial structure.The so-called reticulated shell structure which is a space architecture is to arranged the structural members along a curved surface.The mechanical characteristics of the reticulated shell is similar with the shell structure,which is based on “film”the role of the main characteristic of the force and bear axial force.Because the reticulated shell with reasonable form,light weight,low cost,lively form and other characteristics meet the needs of large-span buildings,the reticulated shell has been rapid development in recent years.People research the Singer-Layer reticulated shell more than the double reticulated shell structures,but the ellipsoid reticulated shell as a new form structure has better stiffness and strength,which is the same as the sphere reticulated shell that can cover a large span space.Based on this demand,in this paper,we use the finite element analysis software ANSYS to analysis the static and dynamic of the ellipsoid reticulated shell in order to get the characteristics of static and dynamic.First,by writing the commanding stream,we use ANSYS software to create a ellipsoid reticulated shell computing model,and research static characters under load.By static analysis of the structure,we can check whether the structure meets the strength and stiffness requirements,on the other hand,we can analysis the stress variation of structure members.Second,we research the vibration characteristics and stability of the ellipsoid reticulated shell.Through the analysis of the vibration characteristic,we can get structural natural frequencies and mode shapes of the ellipsoid reticulated shell to get ready for dynamic analysis.By researching the stability and Load-Displacement cure of the structure,we can get ultimate buckling load.Finally,using modal response spectrum method and Time history analysis,we study the dynamic characteristics of the ellipsoid reticulated shell under seismic action.The article focuses on the use of time-history analysis method to research the dynamic characters of the ellipsoid reticulated shell and get the axial force and displacement curve of structural members under seismic action.The law of earthquake response excited by earthquake wave are gotten by comparing the elem axial force time curve course in different directions seismic action.This results will provide the benefit help for the type design.
