Bridge as an important structure of transport infrastructure, have significant impact on the national production, social activities, people’s lives and life safety.The stability of the roof is an important part of the bridge stability.The destruction of the trapezoidal stiffening plate will weaken the bearing capacity of steel box girder. Not make full use of the bearing capacity of the structure, So it is necessary of studying the ladder rib under the various forms of layout influence on bearing capacity and stability, it is necessary to guide design.Based on the actual project of steel box girder bridge of Chengdu Xinguang road, using MIDAS FEA a finite element software simulates the bridge in practical engineering process and mechanical performance of the bridge steel box girder bridge, the problem of stability and stability of the stiffening plate bearing are studied, this paper mainly studies the stability of the stiffener of steel box girder bridge, the bearing capacity and failure form and trapezoidal rib problem with different size, thickness and distance.Firstly, the development history of steel box girder was introduced and application status of steel box girder bridge in bridge engineering, as well as the technical problems,so, large span steel box girder of the bridge stability issues become more prominent. Then, this paper introduces the four edges simply supported plate buckling critical stress of the theoretical solution and the specification on board the provisions of the local stability, analyzes the scope of application of foreign codes.Often decorating longitudinal trapezoidal stiffener in the roof,which greatly increase the stiffness of the steel box girder roof,Strengthening the section moment of inertia, So as to enhance the stability of the roof on the whole and enhance the overall average failure stress of the structure;Then simulation with finite element software MIDAS FEA on 20 groups of different thickness and height of trapezoidal stiffener, at the same times, choosing the appropriate calculation and contrast analysis formula in the specification, to get all sorts of decorate a form of the relationship between the minimum stiffness and the critical buckling stress, determine the most suitable arrangement.
