Recently, with the rapidly development of Chinese railway, the existing railway signal monitoring system had witnessed many problems and defects, such as lack of speed and precision for data acquisition, long survey cycle, the old mode of communication bus, etc, which also contributed to the accidents, causing serious economic problems and personal safety issues to the state and society.To solve this problem, we carried out a lot of data queries. Component and working principle of ZPW-2000 A frequency-shift track circuit, switch machine and signal machine were analyzed in detail, and determined the location and quantity of monitoring. Especially to the thinning algorithm(ZoomFFT) and spectrum characteristics of the frequency-shift transmitted signal, this paper did a deep research. And the simulation was conducted by MATLAB software, which lays a theoretical foundation for the later software implementation. The system was divided into two parts, the lower position machine and station machine. The lower position machine part realized the function of judging the railway signal equipment’s working states by monitoring waveform characteristics of voltage and current. This paper respectively described the hardware circuit design and software program design of the lower position machine detailedly. Station machine part was written by LabVIEW.This paper respectively illustrates the login interface, communication status query, the interval state query, the query parameter switch machine and the historical record of the inquiry. In order to make the overall design system simple, and enhance the circuit board hardware versatility, to the different signal equipment, the hardware circuit design of the system was basically similar. All of them adopt the Cortex-M4 kernel ARM micro controller STM32F303 VC as their main control chip, only in view of the different railway equipment loading different software programs, so that they had different functions. Finally, in order to understand the overall performance of the system, This paper tested the whole systerm, including the ZPW-2000A’s low frequency signal detection, the calculation of switch machine’s characteristic quantity and the Ethernet communication, and proved that it can realize the expected function.
