With the rapid development of transportation industry, the application of heavy vehicle had been widely used, and played an important role in road traffic. In the process of heavy vehicle driving, vehicle vibration caused by road roughness, affects the riding comfort. On the contrary, the vehicle vibration react on the road, causing the destruction of the pavement. Thus the vehicle and pavement are interacted and coupled. At present, the research on the dynamics of vehicle road interaction system has gradually become focus of research. Considering the huge financial resources that experiments cost, most of the researches are based on theoretical analysis and software simulation, but theoretical analysis of mechanical model is different from experiments.Therefore, carrying out structure model experiments research has important significance in research of the vehicle road interaction dynamics system.Based on the laboratory condition, this paper designed and produced a steel beam model of 2.25 m in length, a distribution stiffness pavement model supported by springs, a quarter vehicle model and a steel sine wave road surface model of 2.25 m long. The bending stiffness, nine order natural frequencies, and damping ratio of the steel beam had been tested. Through the static and dynamic load experiments, the paper studied the stress state of the simply supported beam model and the dynamic characteristics of the model. Through the sweeping frequency test and fixing frequency test in the shaking table, the inherent vibration characteristics of vehicle model and the suspension and damping characteristics of system had been studied,that providing the basis for the study of vehicle road interaction system.For vehicle road interaction experimental system, this paper established the dynamics equation, and used the model superposition method to solve the interaction vibration equation, also got the vehicle and road response under the condition of constant load and random load.Then, the vehicle road interaction system experiment had been conducted. Compared with the results of simulation, the correctness of the theoretical analysis was verified. Finally, this paper analyzed the relationship betweenthe vehicle model vibration and movement caused by pavement roughness, and compared the influences of vehicle vibration in different damping parameters.From the angle of experiment, establishing two-degree-of freedom vehicle model and road model interaction system, the paper studied the dynamic response of different beam structure in different support condition and the vehicle’s dynamic response. Comparing numerical simulation and experiment results, it verified the correctness of the simulation calculation and experimental results.
