Gear is one of typical drive part used widely in all kinds of mechanical instrument. Gear manufacturing occupies an unshakable position in our manufacturing. However gear market is gradually saturted in our country, and the competition is more intense. The enterprise can occupy the advantageous market position only by way of improving the core capacity of competition. In the futue gear-making will be automatic, intelligent, unmanned and greening. The development is an inevitable trend. Based on SH company as the prototype, the text aims to put forward a kind of unmanned gear production layout and the corresponding intelligent scheduling method.On the basis of literature review, the text conducts an investigation to the SH company which is focus on the knowledge of product type and characteristics, production layout and production scheduling, and puts forward a kind of unmanned gear production layout with the typical products analysis, process analysis, element analysis and design of unmanned. For the intelligent scheduling problem in unmanned production, the text builds a batch scheduling model and puts forward a improved genetic algorithm by improving the population initialization process and crossover and mutation process, which can solve the batch division problem and optimal sequencing problem at the same time. Finally the text verifies the algorithm feasibility and effectiveness by the simulation based on literature data and obtains the initial solution. For further consideration of the dynamic environment, the text analysizes rescheduling method under three emergencies of processing time changing, machine breakdown and delivery date changing by the way of simulation. At last the text develops a unmanned gear production scheduling system with the help of Visual Basic object-oriented language, Acess database and Matlab high-level language.Facing the gradual change of market demand and manufacturing model, the text innovatively puts forward a kind of unmanned gear production layout which is a big improvement on the gear production concept for it provides a vision for the future gear manufacturing. In addition, the text puts forward an idea of batch scheduling which is better than the classical scheduling concept. In the nowdays, the automation level is higher and higher. It means that more and more manufacture enterprise will use the idea to change the traditional productive model.
