With the increasing development of industrial technology and software development, steel structure has an increasingly important role in residential and some large buildings. The studies focusing on the open sections members has become mature, however research which relevant to the property and stability strength of closed section members has been relative imperfect. In view of this, this paper launches several relative researches about the stability strength of closed 十-Shape Steel Column. Basised on Umansky Torsion Theory for closed thin walled bar and leaning on related theory thin-walled members, this paper derives the flexural torsional buckling balance equations under eccentric loading and solves the equations which under the condition of both ends hinged and fixed.Eigenvalue buckling analysis for closed 十-Shape Steel Column was carried out by the helping of the large finite element software ANSYS, which has strongly proof that the flexural torsional buckling balance equations and the elastic analytical solution was correct. Then,to study the influence on the stability capacity of 十-shape closed steel column by geometric defects and residual stress through the parameters of slenderness ration and width-thickness ration.Through the results of different kinds of finite element models,Some conclusion can be got, which can be a reference for engineering design.
