Research On The Negative-space In Suzhou Gardens

Research on the Negative-space in Suzhou Gardens,Suzhou garden embodies the essence of Chinese traditional garden space concept.The paper explain from the perspective of researching about garden space’s constitution and was based on negative-space as a medium,though the Suzhou garden’s positive and negative-space category definition to research nagative space’s status in all garden-space elements and it’s influence on Activities of the garden.The paper based on the field research of the Lingering Garden, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Master-of-Nets Garden, the Lion forest, the Canglang Pavilion and other classical gardens of Suzhou, comparing the positive space and the negative space as a reciprocal causation from the multi-angle by using Graphic deductive and inductive analysis, to research on the negative space in the form of these features and types.Meanwhile, the author analysis of different emotions that visitors may experience and design principles and methods in inductive inference appears negative space generation in landscape design and make effective transformation experiment, in order to further expand the modern landscape design’s artistic expression perspective, approaches and enrich garden space’s constitution.
