The Study Of Suzhou Classical Garden Boundary Space Based On The Perspective Of Urban Design

Suzhou classical garden represents the spirit and quality of the city,it is a distinct region of the urban space in the development of the history.At the present stage,the studies of Suzhou classical gardens are focus on the gardening theories and technologies,this article intends to study the Suzhou classical gardens from a new perspective--urban design,studying the Suzhou classical garden boundary space,thinking about its spatial relationship with the urban space.Under the background of the multi-boundary space of the Chinese cities,Suzhou classical garden boundary is a small scale representative,its delicate space planning skills could be used for reference in the designing of other urban boundary spaces.This study is based on the perspective of urban design,analyzing the important role of the Suzhou classical boundary space which serves as the characteristic urban space and special urban boundary space of the Suzhou in the process of building urban organic structure space.Through the study of the Suzhou classical garden space and its relationship with the Suzhou city,proposing the suggestions of optimal design to upgrade the urban space environment.The study includes five parts: the first part is the introduction,this part is about the background and object of the study,relevant literature review and etc.;the second part exploring the relationship between urban design and Suzhou classical garden boundary space,combining the field research to summarize its spatial hierarchies,types and values;the third part is the study of Suzhou classical garden boundary space,including the history development and traditional culture,integrate characteristics and types induction,spatial morphology these three aspects;the forth part proposing the suggestions of optimal design of the Suzhou classical boundary space under the urban design theory,which contains the principles and aims of optimal design,optimization factors and suggestions;the fifth part is the conclusion and prospect,making the conclusions of the main study outcomes.
