Research Of Sensor Access Technology In Smart Home

With the rapid development of system on chip and wireless sensor technology, home automation, smart hardware with “smart” labels are emerge into people’s sight gradually and caused extensive attention. However, recent years have seen a flowering of different wireless sensor technologies, such as Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC and so on. The industry is also still not set a unified standard. The equipment manufacturer has to choose one wireless sensing scheme according to their own needs. This makes network creation difficult.This paper analyzes the current mainstream wireless sensing scheme, puts forward a Internet accessable, multi-access home gateway design scheme, the feature of the scheme are as follows:a. Compatible with various wireless sensing technology, access different devices with sensors.b. Connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi, communicate with the cloud servers.c. When applicating to large areas, the gateway can act as two level nodes, re-networking through Wi-Fi to achieve greater area coverage.In order to confirm the feasibility of the scheme, we implemented the Bluetooth low energy part. Considering about the stability, costs and energy consumption, we choose STM32 microcontroller as the main control module. The Bluetooth low energy module is n RF51822 So C with Cortex M0 kernel, it is a member of n RF51 series. The main control module stays connected with server by TCP/IP protocol, receives data from Bluetooth module by serial port interrupt, and maintains a simple Webpage server for configuring gateway parameters at the same time. Finally we build a complete testing system consists of sensor data source, server and mobile phone client to test the function and performance of the gateway.The test results show that the capability of the home gateway to access sensors is stable and reliable. With the advantages of low cost and easy to use, the home gateway has a certain market prospect.
