The arrival of experience economy boosts the experience design in various industries. Whether in the field of mobile APPs, household products, hospital systems or bank systems, user experience becomes increasingly crucial. In recent years, user experience design develops rapidly in the field of Internet. Although there are a large number of studies about experience design emerging, the understanding of user experience remains vague and incomplete. Few studies explore about attributions of user experience or how they impact on experience. Users frequently just utilize User Experience as criterion to judge products or services. This article discusses the factors and attributions of user experience and how they work. This research put forward a theoretical model to help people understand user experience more clearly and to guide experience design. The theoretical model can also be used as reference for developing experience strategy and evaluating product experience. This article firstly summarizes five Internet product features and previous studies about user experience through the literature research and interviews. The important views about user experience are expounded in detail, including definitions, evaluation models, classifications, attributions of user experience and the deficiencies of these previous researches. Then author collected a large number of user experience cases through in-depth interviews and observations, and summarized the factors which affecting on the user experience through qualitative and quantitative analysis. These cases and insights could be helpful and meaningful for user research and product design. Furthermore, the collected factors were classified through three rounds of card sorting. Combined with the literature research, the "EPI" model was put forward. The primary and secondary attributions in the model were explained through case studies on the paper. Primary attributions of "EPI" are expectation, progression and influence, and each one includes several secondary attributions. In addition, the research and integration of previous user experience quality evaluation models contributed to a new evaluation model, including eight evaluation points. Discussing how attributions affect the quality of user experiences proves the role of "EPI".Finally, workshop was carried out to prove the rationality and applicability of EPI model. The process of the workshop was to introduce EPI model, to discuss the model and use "EPI" model to assess Internet products experience and try to improve the design of those products. The product evaluation reports, design schemes and further reflections on the"EPI" model are delivered through workshop.
