During the process of mining and smelting of Uranium, a large number of natural radioactive nuclides such as uranium waste rock and tailings will produce. If not been handled properly, it will pollute or become a hidden radiation hazards to the environment. Using Heap leaching of uranium tailings as a filling material is one of the method to disposal it. When using heap leaching of uranium tailings to fill the mined out area, it will generate radon which has hazards to the underground working environment, so for develop the heap leaching of uranium tailings filling material as the research has theoretical significance and real value.The research achievements are as follows:Through the theoretical analysis method, the influence of diffusion coefficient, emanation coefficient, water saturation and porosity on the surface of the leaching of uranium tailings filling body of radon exhalation rate were determined.Through the theoretical analysis method the impact of the different seepage velocity and coating thickness on the surface of the uranium tailings filling body radon exhalation rate were determinedDesigned and developed a multifunctional experimental apparatus. to measure the radon exhalation rate without cover and under coverAn experiment was carried out to study the laws of radon exhalation rate under pure diffusion condition by using self-made experimental device, then migration quantity of radon were obtained, the date is similar with radon emanation coefficient experiment data. The results can be verified by each other.Using this experimental device to study the surface radon exhalation rate under different seepage velocity,obtained the radon exhalation rate under different seepage velocity of heap leaching of uranium tailings filling body surface.The test results show that: with the increase of flow velocity, the radon exhalation rate on the surface uranium tailing filling body is increased.Using this experimental device to carry out the second condition experiment which is under cover and obtain the radon exhalation rate under different thickness of the cover. The test results show that: with the overburden layer thickness increases, the precipitation of radon rate is increase.
