Nowadays, with the rapid development of economy around the world, cities are stepping up urbanization, especially the construction of rail transit. With the advantages of fast and convenient, metro vehicles has become the most important means of transportation, and is also a significant sign of develop into an international metropolis. With the development of science and technology, the communication network control system is also widely used in the field of train, for monitoring the real-time status when the train is running. However, the technology of domestic rail train is still in the backward stage, most of the Train Control and Management System(TCMS) are introduced from abroad. The development of independent intellectual property of TCMS is imminent.Based on the project of “Xi’an Metro Line2 ATI purchase”, the design of the communication controller between the equipment on the train has been completed. After analyzing the structure of the TCMS and the bus protocol, the hardware design of the slave communication controller based on FPGA is implemented. Firstly, the research background and the development of the TCMS is introduced in this paper. Secondly, the analysis of ATI train network control system is given, the structure and functions of the system is described in detail and the function of the main equipment is introduced. Thirdly, the design of the slave communication controller is elaborated and the design and function of varies modules is analyzed. Finally, the main modules are verified and analyzed according to the simulation environment we bulid and board-level testing is completed. The result of this research has been successfully tested to prove that the module is designed properly to meet the design reguirements.
