Abstract/Summary:
There are many study on rubber asphalt and modified rubber asphalt at home and abroad present.GuangXi province is one of the highest accumulated temperature and abundant rainfall in China,because it’s located in the middle and south Asian tropical monsoon climate zone. This paper mainly studies on the aging mechanism and regeneration property of rubber asphalt in the subtropical high temperature and rainy hot and humid environment.Let the 70# rubber asphalt thermal oxidative aging, compared with the 90# rubber asphalt,test the penetration, softening point,ductility,viscosity and SHRP index by change the aging time or aging temperature.The results show that, the viscosity has the most biggest correlation coefficient and the rule of change is relatively stable.So choose the viscosity as a parameter to establish aging kinetics equation.The rubber asphalt’s aging kinetics equation is established by the test data and formula derivation.The aging condition of rubber asphalt which is simulated the climatic environment of highest accumulated temperature and abundant rainfall.Under the aging condition of combination environment, we can draw the following conclusions:Because of the effect of high accumulated temperature and abundant rainfall, the aging degree of rubber asphalt was more serious.Rubber asphalt’s aging is intensifying because of the water will into the rubber asphalt pavement with the damp-heat and the pressure.To analysis the rubber asphalt aging mechanism with infrared spectrometer.The test results show that, the carbonyl content was increasing with the aging process in the environment of high temperature and rainy hot and humid.When there is water in the reaction,the sulfoxide index will be slightly reduced.Because of ulfuric acid molecules of rubber asphalt with water generate hydrogen bonds,the concentration of oxidation sulfide is decreased which affects sulfoxide index.The rubber asphalt is recycled by base asphalt and regenerant.The test results show that, the property regeneration of rubber asphalt is recovered when the base asphalt proportion is 80% or the regenerant is 9%.When the regeneration rubber asphalt is aged, the crosslinking structure is not recoverd by using regenerant. So the regeneration property of rubber asphalt is the base asphalt better than regenerant, but both of them can make the regeneration property fit the use requirements.
