Temperature sensing cable was mainly used for simultaneous detection ofmulti-point temperature of the measured object. It was widely used not only inindustrial areas, such as the detection of cable temperature access to facility, but alsoin the agricultural sector, such as the greenhouse temperature testing. Conventionaltemperature sensing cable was mainly linear temperature sensing switch cable, thetransmission of data was also wired, so in practical applications, this temperaturesensing cable had many disadvantages. In this article, the digital temperature sensorDS18B20manufacturing temperature sensing cable was studied and researched,ZigBee technology was used for wireless transmission, and a high efficiency, lowcost, wide application of the monitoring network was established to develop a newtemperature sensing cable.The requirements of the test environment has been studied. The proposedsolutions on temperature detection were as follow:The DS18B20was selected as the temperature sensor of temperature sensingcable, because of its low cost, easy implementation and digital output, and it waswelded on the shield cable by a single bus technology to construct temperaturesensing cable. Good performance in terms of breaking. After a comparison ofseveral short-range wireless communications technology, the low-cost, low-powerZigBee technology was selected as the wireless transmission technology. In terms ofhardware, the TI’s CC2530chip was selected corresponding with the poweramplifier chip CC2591to make the wireless transmissions between nodes morereliable and easy to implement; Meanwhile, in the SCM, STC89C52was choose asthe core part of acquisition cards, to carry out temperature collection and upload thedata to the terminal node ZigBee. In terms of the software business: the TI ’s Z-Stack protocol stack was used, which used a polling mechanism of the operating system,and the work of application program was greatly simplified.Finally, the system had been sub-block tested. Firstly, the function about thecollecting and uploading data of the acquisition card section were tested, and thenthe ability of ZigBee networks and network communication distance were detected.The results showed that satisfactory temperature detection can be achieved in thesystem.Due to the limitations of the test conditions, the whole system was not tested,and the long-term power situation of the system could not be detected. Therefore,there were still many problems in this system. In future studies, this system could bemade more perfect.
